At Thomas Plumbing and Heating, we’re committed to being honest, reliable, and delivering great service. We take pride in providing high-quality work using both traditional values and modern technology. Your satisfaction is our priority.

Hourly Work

• We charge for the time we spend on your job and the materials we use.
• You’ll be billed for time spent working on your property and our time ordering and collecting non stock materials.
• Our minimum charge is 1 hour.
• If we need to travel more than 45 minutes, that time is chargeable.

Fixed Price Work

• We can give you a fixed quote that includes both labour and materials.
• This may be up to 10% more than our standard hourly rate, depending on the job.

Estimates

• Written estimates won’t increase by more than 20% unless:
  1. You ask for extra work.
  2. Material costs increase.
  3. We find unexpected issues.
  4. The original estimate had a mistake.
• Verbal estimates aren’t guaranteed.

Payments

• Payment is due when the work is complete.
• If payment isn’t made within 5 days, interest of 8% (plus a late fee) will be added.
  • £40 fee for invoices under £1000
  • £70 fee for invoices over £1000
  • These charges follow government guidelines (GOV.UK).

Ownership of Materials

• Materials remain the property of Thomas Plumbing and Heating until fully paid for.

Stage Payments

• For big jobs or delays between stages (e.g. first and second fix), we may ask for
  part-payments.
• If materials cost more than £2000 upfront, we may request a payment in advance.

Cancellations

• If you cancel before work starts, you’ll need to cover any costs already incurred.

Complaints

• We follow a professional complaints process as recommended by HETAS.
